The insurance industry has released their annual findings of most stolen late-model vehicles.
Escalade had the highest theft insurance claims at 13 per 1000 (yep, #1 highest rate for theft is a paltry 1.3%).
Interestingly, a full 1/4 of all Escalade theft claims are in excess of $40000 (i.e. the whole vehicle was stolen).
For 2007, the new Escalade has an upgraded anti-theft system – which the insurance industry attributes to the higher than normal theft rate. It will be interesting to see if the new system improves the numbers.

Autoweek, for those that don’t know, is a weekly car magazine. They have contacted the CaddyEdge for some help with this week’s upcoming issue.
They plan to run a review of the STS-V and need owner reviews to help flesh out the story. They are expecting that any owner reviews they get before Wednesday June 7th will become part of the article. Any reviews selected for publication will also get a copy of the issue in question.

Cadillac sales results - May 2006

Interesting information from the May sales results…
Escalade sales are up 50% over a year ago.
SRX sales are up 20.9%.
CTS and STS sales were both down – CTS by 21.3% and STS by 35.1%.
Looks like time for GM to hurry up and get the new CTS out to compete against all the new models from the competition.
