Update: The hosting company has corrected the issue and forum posting/replying is working now.

I apologize for not catching this sooner…I realized today that the site host has made a change to PHP that is preventing posting in the forums.

I have reported it to them and expect to have everything back to normal as soon as possible.

BTX shows its grill

April 19, 2008 - 12:30 pm

Leftlane News has spotted Cadillac’s new small SUV flashing its grill-work and showing a lot of similarities to the Provoq concept from this years Detroit auto show.

2010 BTXBuilt off GM’s Premium Theta (which, according to LLN, is packing some parts from GM’s Epsilon mid-size car chassis as well), the BRX (we hear it will be BTX) will share this high-end version of Theta with Saab’s new 9-4x crossover.

Both should reach production late in 2009 as 2010 model year vehicles.

XLR-V spotted, this time undisguised

April 19, 2008 - 7:23 am

Do you get the feeling the XLR development team isn’t trying that hard?

XLR-V LLNEarlier, we brought you pictures from LLN showing the standard XLR sporting its new CTS-inspired face, dual exhaust tips, and Jaguar-esque fender vents…

Today, LLN has snagged undisguised pics of the XLR-V. This time with the V-Series mesh grills.

Of note, the hood bulge seems to have been lowered and the exhaust tips are either blacked-out or are not in final production form on this test car.

No interior shots, unfortunately, and still no word on powertrains.

With this amount of sloppiness on Cadillacs part with regard to protecting what these cars will look like – I wouldn’t be surprised if an official debut is days away.

TCC 09 XLRExterior changes are fairly minor with new integrated exhaust tips inspired by the upcoming CTS Coupe, fender vents seemingly owing more the Jaguar than the 2008 CTS/STS designs, and freshened front styling that brings the CTS grill design to the flagship.

Unknowns still include the interior and powertrain options we’ll see when the 09 XLR debuts later this year.
