Autoweek.com got a chance to interview GM’s Bob Lutz at the Paris Motorshow.
Of interest to Cadillac fans is the following:
AW: A super-luxury car – is GM ever going to get that?
Lutz: It’s still a wonderful dream, like the Cadillac Sixteen. Frankly, given the reality of fuel prices, I would say that the priorities have shifted somewhat.
So, it looks like it might be some time before an ultra high-end Cadillac will see the light of day.
Our guess is this has less to do with fuel economy sensitivity in the ultra-luxury market, but that GM now has to redirect resources to get smaller cars done and on the market and that is pulling money away from the high-end Cadillac project.
