I enjoyed your article. My family started buying Cadillacs in 1941 and then switched to Mercedes in 1986 for obvious reasons. We’ve all been longing for the day that Cadillac builds a true luxury car again so I hope, like you, that their recent program delays will allow them to do this better rather than build more second tier stuff. Thanks for creating caddyedge, I’ll be visiting frequently to watch the progress!

This is the first review I’ve read that finds the post-poning of the STS/DTS (single) replacement model as a sensible decision. It provides good insight to the rationale behind the Cadillac business plan, and paints an optimistic future. Essential to Cadillac’s success will be placing distinctive, brand-specific, styling above all else—which the CTS models appear to do superbly! I’m anxious to see these new developments as the pages of Cadillac history are written. Out of a great Cadillac past, great new Cadillac cars will emerge!
