Cadillac announces in-car WiFi system for CTS

Cadillac announced today an in-car wifi system for the CTS. The system begins with a dealer installed cellular modem/AP combo that connects to a 3G data network and converts it to a standard wifi network with data speeds of up to 800kb/s. Initial cost is $499 for the hardware and monthly service goes for $29. This puts Cadillac in fairly exclusive company in offering wifi Internet access in moving cars - a trend that is likely to spread over time.
