Cadillac XTS VsportCadillac announced today the pricing of the new XTS Vsport as well as when it will go into production. At $63,020 including destination fees, the Cadillac XTS Vsport packs a unique grill, standard 20" wheels as well as Cadillac's new 3.6l direct-injection, twin-turbo V-6. Packing 410hp and 369 lb*ft in XTS tune, the new V-6 is heavily upgraded from the non-turbo version and provides the top-shelf XTS plenty of power through an up-rated 6-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Cadillac made clear in their latest announcement that the Vsport is intended to slot between the max-performance V-Series cars and the standard offerings. This will, as in the case of the XTS, allow a performance line that is short of full V-Series performance...especially as it pertains to cars that would be simply silly in a V-Series trim (think Escalade, SRX, XTS). It also allows the V-Series to stay pure to their über-performance mission without also having to encompass (and be diminished by) cars like this XTS. Production of the XTS Vsport will begin in August (along with the rest of the 2014 Cadillac line).
