Cadillac Gets New Worldwide Head
GM announced on Tuesday the appointment of Robert Ferguson to a new position of Vice President of Cadillac Worldwide. Formerly, Ferguson was GM's VP of global public policy and represented GM in Washington D.C. Hired in 2010 during the GM bankruptcy, Ferguson will now steer Cadillac as it tries to expand its reach to better compete with the likes of BMW, Audi, and Mercedes. He will report directly to GM CEO Dan Akerson. His direct reports will include Don Butler, Cadillac’s U.S. VP of marketing and Chase Hawkins, Cadillac's VP of sales and service. We wish him the best of luck in Cadillac's latest attempt to break into markets outside North America. He starts his new job on January 1, 2013. Source: Automotive News
