Cadillac gets Global Design group
Automotive News reported today that Cadillac has formed a brand new 'Global Design' team, headed by GM designer Clay Dean. Mr. Dean has worked closely on GM's small-car platforms, including the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky and Aura, Chevy Cobalt, Malibu, and HHR. He headed up the teams for the HHR, Malibu, and Aura. By creating a group specifically for Cadillac design should help maintain Cadillac's unique look while Cadillac moves to share some component sets/architectures with other GM divisions going forward (such as the new rear-drive Alpha, a sub-SRX crossover, and Cadillac's new S-class/7-series sedan).
