Hennessey Takes His 1200hp CTS-V to 220.5mph on a Texas Highway

John Hennessey is certainly not one to shy away from self promotion - but this is just fun. In conjunction with the State of Texas (yep, a fully sanctioned stunt at that), the good folks at Hennessey - in the guise of 'testing' the Texas Highway Patrol speed cameras as well as the toll system that snaps a picture of license plates at ultra-high speeds - took a 1200+ hp, twin-turbo CTS-V Coupe to 220.5 mph. Hennessey stated that they could have hit 230 with another mile of highway, but they didn't have enough road dedicated to this endeavor. Take a peek at the run in the video below:
