Amazing Look Inside the Building of a Cadillac ATS

It's not often that the mainstream press does a deep-dive into the manufacturing side of the car business. However, Esquire's Justin Heckert has taken some time with the people of the Lansing, MI plant where GM builds the CTS and ATS to watch what it takes to create a new ATS from raw materials to finished cars. He has done something else remarkable with this piece, he has taken something that to most people is just a machine and infused it with the romance of the workers that build it, the engineers and testers that agonized over its function, and its designers that noodled every curve and contour. He has captured why cars and specifically this car -matter- on a human level.
